Charlotte honey doesn’t get any more local than this. Our Very Local Honey is created by pampered honeybees from flowers and trees in Myers Park and nearby neighborhoods.

We harvest honey sustainably to protect our bees’ precious beeswax combs. This creates small quantities of pure beeswax which we then melt with solar energy. The filtered beeswax is available in small quantities for cosmetics, candles and crafts.
|
Nucleus colonies of bees are available in spring, and larger colonies of bees can also be purchased. Our bees are inspected annually by the NC Department of Agriculture and certified free of disease.

Swarms of honeybees (a cluster of bees outside their home, hanging on a tree or bush or something) appear most often in March-July but occasionally at other times of the year. These bees are attempting to find a new home to move into -- maybe your garage or attic. A swarm represents free bees so we will try to rescue them if time permits. A swarm that is not captured will colonize lots of places that are inconvenient to humans, so call us right away to relocate them.
