VERY Well Bred Colonies
Bees are generally sold in Nucleus (“Nuc”) colonies in spring. These are small colonies that have all the components of a regular colony but on a small scale. They are sold in spring so that the colony can build up to full strength by fall. Nucs include a queen less than a year old; 5 drawn wax frames with brood, pollen and honey stores; and bees covering 5 frames. We take orders for nucs beginning in January and delivery is usually in April and May. Prices quoted do not include woodenware. Full size colonies are also available for purchase, just ask. Prices will vary depending on the size and season.
